Silicone products are gaining popularity due to their environmental friendliness, and there's an increasing trend of using silicone in various items. To understand these products systematically, let's start by exploring the basics of silicone raw materials.

  1. Classification by Performance:

    • Color: Transparent.

    • Hardness: Ranges from 30° to 80°, commonly between 40° and 60°.

    • Density: 1.1-1.12g/cm²

    • Elongation: 600%-700%

    • Features: Excellent transparency, strong tensile strength, higher cost.

    • Uses: High-end products requiring high elasticity like silicone tubes, protective covers, etc.

    • Colors: Semi-transparent, milky white, light yellow, gray, etc.

    • Hardness: Ranges from 30° to 80°, commonly between 40° and 70°.

    • Density: 1.1-1.12g/cm²

    • Elongation: 400%

    • Uses: Commonly used in mid to low-grade silicone products like phone buttons, miscellaneous parts, conductive adhesives, etc.

    • General Silicone (Precipitated Silicone):

    • Weather-resistant Silicone (Pure Silicone):

  2. Classification by Physical Properties:

    • Solid Silicone: Primarily used for compression molding products like silicone sleeves, utensils, buttons, etc.

    • Liquid Silicone: Used for extrusion molding products like silicone pacifiers, tubes, etc.

Types of Liquid Silicone:

  1. Mold Silicone: Ideal for making molds, offering cost and efficiency advantages compared to steel molds.

  2. Pad Printing Silicone: Used to create pad printing heads for various applications like printing on plastic toys, electroplated products, etc.

  3. Electronic Encapsulation Silicone: Utilized for sealing electronic products, providing functions like waterproofing, dust resistance, thermal conduction, shock absorption, insulation, and high transparency for LED encapsulation.

  4. Hand Board Silicone: Used for creating prototype models with wear-resistant and strong rebound properties.

  5. Silicone Sealant: Commonly known as glass glue, it cures in the presence of moisture, providing weather resistance, vibration resistance, adaptability to temperature changes, etc.

  6. Clothing Label Silicone: Liquid silicone used for making durable clothing labels with a good hand feel and high production efficiency.

  7. High-Temperature Silicone: Used in industries requiring high-temperature resistance, with variations capable of withstanding temperatures from 200°C to 1300°C.

  8. Medical Silicone: Suitable for medical applications due to its non-toxic and biocompatible nature, used in prosthetics, simulated human models, etc.

Common Issues with Silicone Products:

  1. Non-recyclability: Defective silicone products cannot be reused once formed, only minor defects can be rectified.

  2. Removal of Screen Printing: Depending on the curing process, screen printing removal can be challenging after baking, requiring sanding or careful polishing to avoid surface damage.

  3. Production Processes: Involves various stages from design to production and quality assurance, including molding, curing, printing, finishing, and packaging.

  4. Surface Treatments: Processes like oil spraying, laser engraving, drop coating, and color printing enhance the appearance and tactile feel of silicone products.

Advantages of Silicone Products:

  • Environmental friendliness, durability, comfort, versatility, and a wide range of applications at an affordable price.
