Acoustic Wall Ceiling Floor Gypsum Wall Board Reduce Sound Transmissions from Airborne and Impact Sound Isolation Clips
The GOFAI Sound Isolation Clip is a resilient sound isolation clip used to attach the gypsum wall board to interior walls and ceilings. Each Sound isolation Clip has a design load rating of 36 lbs. and can support up to two layers of 5/8” gypsum board when spaced no more than 24” x 48” on-center. Decoupling a wall involves the use of Resilient Isolation Clips or Sound Damping Pads. The clips should be staggered when installed (every other stud) to create less pathways for sound to transfer. The Resilient Isolation Channel easily clicks into the Resilient Clips, resulting in a 1 5/8” gap between the stud and drywall. Fine thread screws are used to screw the dry wall into the Resilient Channel. Screws should be the correct length in order to not pierce a stud, this will compromise the efficiency of the decoupled wall.
