RSIC DC04 High Quality L Shape Resilient Sound Isolation Clips for Ceilings System

The GOFAI clips is designed for use with any wood, steel or concrete application where noise control is required. This includes, wood framed, steel framed, CMU, or concrete wall and or ceiling systems. The GOFAI clips assembly decouples the gypsum board from the structure, giving the assembly enhanced acoustical performance. The GOFAI clips fastens directly to the framing or structure. The GOFAI clips decouples the gypsum board from the structure stopping STC and IIC vibrations from entering the space adjacent.

The GOFAI-L series is a universal and versatile product  line. The most common use is decoupling wall  framing and ceiling systems. The GOFAI-L can be  used in new construction or retrofit. The GOFAI-L  should be used when items need to be acoustically  decoupled for noise and vibration isolation. A few examples of the possible uses for the GOFAI-L  series of noise control clips: Dropped ceiling,  decoupled brace or resilient connector for isolating  walls, speaker mount isolators, exhaust/vent fan  isolators, recessed lighting cover box isolators,  projector mount isolators, electrical box, ceiling fan  isolators, garage door motor isolation, and garage  door rail isolation just to name a few.

 GOFAI clip transition or interrupt installation

• Resilient Sound Isolation Clip (GOFAI-L) ceiling system shall not carry heavy loads  such as cabinets or bookshelves.

• Seal all potential air leaks with non-hardening acoustical caulking to achieve best  noise control results. Use fire rated sealant where required.

• When attaching the GOFAI clips to a steel stud the minimum allowable thickness of  the steel stud is 20 Ga.

Sound Isolation Clip shall be 48 inches by 48 inches on center maximum. Fasten the Resilient Sound Isolation Clip to the hanger wire between the structure and the finish layer. Locate the first and last row of GOFAI clips within 8 inches from the wall. Min. 12 Ga annealed hanger wire tied through the existing wire loop of the GOFAI clip.When using tie wire attached to the GOFAI clip to hang a drywall grid ceiling follow the installation instruction provided by the manufacturer of the grid ceiling system.
